Stopping to Smell the Roses

This summer is going by faster than I'm comfortable with. We're already in June! June!!!!!

This pesky thing called work has kept me tied up, and prevented me from thoroughly enjoying the 100 degree weather and 9pm sunsets...but this Saturday was different.

Went into DC and saw the Irving Penn exhibit at the National Gallery, had cocktails and stumbled onto a 3-on-3 basketball tournament...*not in that order* ...if only every day was that good.

On Sunday, I went to a bookstore to get some coffee and read a little. Honestly, I had every intention of picking up the "Tipping Point" and "1776"....but instead, I ended up balancing a steaming CaraMocha and the hardcover version of "French Women Don't Get Fat"...what does that say about me? That I'm fickle and preoccupied with appearances? Should I feel guilty that the diet secrets of European women intrigue me more than the gritty details of the American Revolution? Of course, this is the same woman who (if she subscribed to magazines) would read KING and the Robb Report...
